My name is Nathan. I am a Level 26 Person with 13 years of experience as a Game Master in various Tabletop Roleplaying Games, as well as about 15 years of experience with writing short works of fiction. In the past few months I've fallen off of the writing train and I'm trying to haul myself back onto it. So I guess this right here is my attempt at doing so! So let's get some explanations out there!
The Scoundrel Himself
WHAT IS THIS BLOG FOR?
This blog will have various purposes, and many things that I'll probably be writing posts about. These things include (listed in order of importance/frequency):
- Short works of fiction based on writing prompts provided by the internet and, I hope, some of my readers! I would seriously love to take prompts out of my comments sections.
- Brief opinion pieces/ruminations about Tabletop Roleplaying Games that will appeal to a very small portion of my audience but I hope perhaps I can sway some of you into playing them, or maybe getting a new perspective on the hobby. Who knows?
- Thoughts and ruminations about various media. TV shows, Movies, Books, Comics, etc. Might be insightful, might just be me documenting cool things and ideas to steal later.
- Stuff about my own life, if it happens to be important to the Blog.
- Miscellaneous other things that might come up rarely.
In many ways, this blog is for me. It is an exercise in exposing a bit of myself to the public. Putting my brain out there. In many ways, this blog is for all of my friends, for my wife and my kids, and for anyone who happens to stop by and wants to read a quick story or two, or maybe wants to read a nerd expressing disproportionately detailed and impassioned opinions about imaginary elf games.
WHY DOES THIS BLOG EXIST?
This blog is just a huge moneygrabbing scheme. Give me your pageviews. Give me your comments. Spread this trash like the plague it is so I can be rich.
That's a joke!
This blog is a place for me to externalize my work and maybe prove to myself that it isn't awful. Or maybe it is! No better place to find out than the fiery furnace of the internet.
HOW OFTEN WILL THIS BLOG UPDATE?
Hard to say from Day 1, but the hope is to update every Tuesday and Thursday, with intermittent other postings as availability dictates. I don't promise perfection, but I do want to see this thing through.
IS THIS DELUGE OF INFORMATION FINISHED?
Yes.
